17 January – 29 February 2020
Breathless
Gilgian Gelzer was born 1951 in Bern. He lives and works in Paris for more than 30 years.
He has held a professorship for drawing and painting at Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris
until his retirement last year.
The exhibition's title Breathless – breathless signifies the seemingly infinite lines in Gelzer's works,
Which, in the truest sense of the word, can take one's breath away.
In the gallery's cabinet, five drawings of french artist Daniel Schlier are on display.
Schlier was born in 1960 in Dannemarie, France. He lives and works in Strasbourg and Paris.
In Paris, he is successor of Gilgian Gelzer at Ecole nationale supérieure des Beaux-arts de Paris.
